LOOKING FOR A NATURE BEYOUND OUR ARTIFICIAL WORLD

In my latest projects, I am working on a dual understanding of the natural and the artificial world. Roads, woods, pieces of grass, tree trunks appear metaphorically in their photographic compositions as the last ghost of the real world. The resulting images are photographic montages but scenarios created by the artist himself.

The series are conceptually situated between land art and a kind of performance; which shows for example in the serie “Anatomy of the forest”,  a forest as timber, as a mythical forest, a firewood or as ufo landing pad. Staged in a steril studio inbetween bare concret walls, awaken astonishment or scare, but last not least some kind of humor and seriousness.

The photographs work together in a series, but also can stand alone narrate their story of magic and life in between the installation

In the photographs works presented, I´am trying to capture the spirit of a perfect past. Something like a forgotten spirituality of magical beings that maybe exist in a perfect nature or in a perfect world. Something what is secretly sleeping in our artificial world. But this naturespirit can be awake, when we reproduce places like a Treecircle, a place where druids (celts) made their mystically arrangements. In my series I am trying to find the perfect constellation for this moment and capture that instant with the camera.
